Red Royal Honeycrisp has improved storage and more red coloring than a typical Honeycrisp while maintaining the unique flavor and textures that makes this apple highly sought after. Honeycrisp is rated one of the highest in sensory evaluations – this fruit has it all! Use Fuji or Gala as pollenizer.
Highly colored fruit, freestone, aromatic and sweet at harvest maturity. Deep orange coloration with a strong red blush on sun-exposed surfaces. Vigorous and upright growth. Self-fertile.
Late August – Early September
~Refreshing with floral notes~
Unlike other apples, less sugar needed when cooking as they are naturally sweet. Low acid levels make them slow to brown/oxidize – perfect for slicing in the morning and enjoying at lunchtime. Keep well in the refrigerator. Use Honeycrisp and Gala as pollinator.
Fruit ripens before the Bing, larger in size. Firm and crunchy, with an exceptional mild, sweet flavor. Vigorous, hardy, resistant to bacterial canker.
